SCORE is a non-profit organization, a resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), and sponsored locally by Rockland Economic Development Corporation (REDC). Its mission is to provide professional guidance and information, accessible to all, to maximize the success of America's existing and emerging entrepreneurs.

Rockland County SCORE counseling and other services are free, private and confidential. SCORE counselors are all volunteers who have had long careers as successful business owners, executives, and other related fields.

SCORE Counselors serve as "mentors" with the client as many times as needed. Each client works with a team of counselors to resolve all pertinent issues of business operation. Mentoring is further augmented through an ongoing series, free to all, of Business Training Courses, conducted weekly by SCORE counselors.

Counseling sessions are conducted in three locations:

Tuesdays Union State Bank 4 North Main St. Spring Valley, NY Time: 9:30am-1:30pm Volunteer Counseling Service (VCS) 77 South Main Street New City, NY Time: 5:30-8:30pm

Fridays REDC One Blue Hill Plaza, 11th Floor Pearl River, NY Time: 9:30am-1:30pm

SCORE also has a Cyber Chapter, where Counselors will answer start up or business questions via the internet. This service may be accessed through the National SCORE web site www.score.org
